Brookside Bistro - Reservar uma mesa

I really feel bad about this review because the food was very good and the restaurant was picturesque and comfortable. What ruined the evening was the terrible service. My proposal to the owner who really works very hard as she could be seen to keep things smooth is to rent older experienced servers. Most of my tables ate the grouper special, which was excellent as the salads. We had to ask for things 2 or 3 times. Get out of jelly for the muffins. There were too few muffins for 4 people. The server has never checked with our table to see if we want refills on our drinks or if we need anything. We were just forgotten. My salad was brought without the dressing. We have been dining at this restaurant for years. The meals are consistently delicious and innovative. Unfortunately, Brooks and Wendy are retiring and leaving the area. We will miss Brookside Bistro. It's just a short drive away.

The weekend 5 course price fixe was outstanding as always and the wine pairings were fun!! Always a great meal!!!
