Wow!!! It has been many years since my last meal at the Brownlow. My late wife Dee and I used to dine here regularly. After her passing, I spent a lot of time working in Sub-Equatorial Africa, providing water to remote areas. Now that I am back in Congleton, some of my neighbors decided to take me out for a birthday lunch, and to my surprise, they chose the Brownlow. I was a bit apprehensive, as the restaurant held so many wonderful memories for me. However, from the moment I walked in, any doubts I had were quickly dispelled. ‘Twas a grizzly drizzly evening before the annual CrossFest championships. Myself, and my fellow athletic peers, all weary and ravenous after travelling the length of country found ourselves down a dark and mysterious country lane and like a miracle at Christmas, there were the twinkling lights of The Brownlow Inn. Like Mary and Joseph, and Jack the dog, we thought we were going to be turned away as the car park was full to the brim, however, to our delight, a spritely, bald man in a tight shirt, said he would work his magic and find us a cosy corner in the restaurant. What an amazing restaurant! We went this Saturday, 17th February 2024, to celebrate my parents golden wedding anniversary and had the best experience. Staff, food and atmosphere all 10 out of 10 Thank you to both front and back of house staff for a wonderful night, we all feel like we celebrated in style!

We booked the Dine and Stay package and it didn’t disappoint. Rooms are amazing with comfortable bed and a great shower. Food was fantastic. Service from all staff was outstanding. We had a great stay and already looking forward to our next stay.
