We would normally avoid such places especially in the UK but on this occasion we had no choice. We normally eat in the restaurant at The Campanile Hotel but it's closed at week ends in November. As The Buffalo Grill is a short walk away we had to give it a go. Early on a Sunday evening it was very busy with lots of families however, the service was quick and efficient (you expect nothing less in France) and the food was good especially the steak which was cooked to perfection the chilli was tasty but lacking chilli, the waitress admitted that the French don't like spicy food! Salad and bread are standard and the drinks are reasonably priced. All in all a good experience, would go again.
Kept us waiting at the door 5-10 minutes, then took us to a table and left us there for another 10-15 minutes without even taking a drinks order. The 5 locals next to us got their food while we were waiting, well 4 of them did, they told us not to eat here as the food was terrible. The steaks they had looked poorly cooked and chewy. The 5th meal never arrived and the girl sat there while her friends ate. We walked out in disgust, the manager seemed surprised but he must be aware of how terrible his restaurant is. Avoid this place.
Very upset with this restaurant. Booked a table for 8 people over the phone 1.5 hrs in advance and was reassured they had our booking. Arrived 10 mins early only to find they had given our table to someone else and told us they are full and wanted us gone. Very unhelpful. Do not try and book this restaurant, they will let you down.
We stopped on our way quite late for dinner. Food was good. Steak very good. Staff, especially Sarah was helpful and friendly. Sadly english cards didn’t work, we tried 3 different cards, including credit card, the card readers kept rejecting our cards so we had to go and get cash out.
