we came to lunch and an Illinois game on a Saturday at 11 o'clock. the hostess and server were both very nice. the service was great and the best part of our experience. we ordered 30 knochenlose wings and some kesefritten. the fries were hot and very good. the wings were at best warm. we ate a few and only asked for a box. they will be good when we go home and heat them up. not sure how this happens, as the pommes were really hot. very disappointed update: I emailed them as they said below and they offered me a $10 gift card for $36 worth of cold wings. what a sweat
with my wife and my brother at 6:00 a.m. and waited for about 10 minutes before we just went out. there is a sign on the door that you have to wait to sit down, but there is no host or manager who wants to sit down. there were about 3 server and 2 barkeepers who have just looked at us and another group of people waiting for space. it was never recognized that we were there. Oh, and the house wasn't even busy. the bar and the tables supplement, the place wasn't even a quarter full. A pity that this place as well as savoyen laule manager has which they can't see.
my man ordered the southern chicken sandwich, and it was served him, fried on the outside, but literally raw, cold and slim on the inside. the manager offered to bring another, but we didn't want anything else. she apologizes but really didn't seem that surprised at the raw huh. the service was not bad and the rest of our food was good. but it will take a long time to come back and we ask how safe the kitchen is.
4/5 stars only due to inconsistency. One week you go and the staff are best described as a dumpster fire. Wait a few weeks and go back and completely changed atmosphere. Not sure if it’s due to rotating management or if upper management has commitment issues with great restaurant management/staff, but it’s cyclical and dates back to the early ‘00’s when I moved to the area.
