Burt's Place - Reservar uma mesa

We had a larger party this past weekend of 9 and was seated promptly when we arrived. Service was terrible, the server almost seemed annoyed that we had a larger party and asked for two separate checks before ordering. We ordered an appetizer, the trio of cheese curds, mozzarella sticks and Mac and cheese bites. The mac and cheese bites were still frozen in the middle and when I mentioned to the server, her only response was yeah because they take so long to cook. She brought them out again, we didn’t eat them as they were terrible. Pizza was ok. I’m not a fan of deep dish pizza but when in Chicago it seems like a must.

Upon reviewing the reviews, it seems like there are some polarizing opinions regarding this place. It seems like you either like the pizza and its burnt crust or you don't. After going here, I couldn't agree with it more. It's just simply not my cup of tea....which is okay. I was also kind of disappointed in the service. We went on a Friday evening and it was somewhat busy, but it took 20 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us after we sat down. Not a great experience overall but may or may not give it another shot; if I do, I will definitely try the 1/2 dough option.

I always loved Pequod’s pizza, I hadn’t ever had anything else like it. It was my favorite place in Chicago. Well Burt’s was just as good in my opinion! Tons of pepperonis, awesome crisp crust, lots of sauce, great flavor. I feel like it’s a mix between Detroit style pizza and deep dish Chicago style pizza. Thicker pizza, crisp crust like Detroit style, round like Chicago style. I now have two favorite pizza places in Chicago! Service: Take out

Staff, Food, everything was AMAZING. Can't believe I have lived so close for years and just now visited after having moved away. 10/10 worth the drive, it was incredibly flavorful. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This pizza was amazing....and I may even say better than Pequod's. Waitress recommended the giardiniera and sausage which was delicious. Adorable patio and a small indoor eating area.
