Once you’ve circumnavigated the huge metal whale out front you happen upon a discrete restaurant. There are few signs of life at first sight. We were then given a warm welcome and assured that lunch was, indeed, being served. The menu is not busy they clearly know what they’re good at. A few options for younger customers would be welcome our 12 year old was struggling. The food was of a very high standard from the focaccia starters, the paella valenciana through to a tangy warm goat’s cheese salad and glorious home made desserts served in kilner jars. Am pleased to say the beer on tap wasn’t a standard lager either far stronger and more enjoyable. This place is rich in promise and will proba...

You can’t miss this restaurant. It is on the way from Benitatchell to El Arénal, just behind the full size metal sculpture of a whale! The owners are delightful and the setting is brilliant for kids with lots of space to roam around and go and look at the fish. The menu is small but all the better for that. Three of us each had different salads, all of which were really tasty, as evidenced by the clean plates. The others had a fiduéa which was, agaij, really good. It would be easy to drive past Ca Aleix as it is hidden by the whale. It is well worth a visit.

We were absolutely thrilled by our visit to Ca Aleix We visited for last nah at the end of our holiday but will definitely return The Valencia paella was fabulous. Made even better by the service and the surroundings. What a gem.

On average the food was good, not excellent. The rice (Meloso Ca Aleix) was quite good. However, the squid was hard and dry, small and terribly expensive.
