Café Am Dom - Reservar uma mesa

The cafe was fully occupied, as cafes often are. The pastries looked good as they often do in better cafes. Based on that, we waited for a seat and ordered two pastries at the counter. The first table in the house to come open was the tiniest table there. As the previous couple left we squeezed in. To do so, one customer at the next table had to stand up and move out of the way to let us in. I am a slender person, thinner than average. We had placed our pastry order while we waited at the counter and ordered our cappuccinos at the table. Cafe Am Dom is a typical German Konditorei in Bamberg. It was clement weather on this April afternoon and in all the outside seating areas of the cafes and restaurants in the main tourist area in the historic center of Bamberg was seating space at premium. We wandered into a quiet narrow street to the north and spotted a typical Konditorei shop front with several unoccupied tables beckoning us to sit down and enjoy coffee and cake. This was Cafe Am Dom and it turned out to be the best kept secret of Bamberg. Good coffee, delicious cake, friendly service, a quiet sit-down and an affordable bill. What more can you wish for.

after several try to find a good place of the cake, I was always disappointed. I really thought cake was just that. the best cake is in caffeine at the dom, on the bambärcher dom and net in steffl. juicy, schokoladig loose and fresh and marille a beautiful cup coffee . heart what you want. and Rollr dance can also be in bamberg.

In April 2022 we discovered this splendid bakery/konditorei, just outside the main tourist routes in Bamberg. As we were in Bamberg again, of course we looked in at Cafe Am Dom and enjoyed again good coffee and delicious cake in the cosy outdoor seating are of the shop. Cafe Am Dom forever I hope.

large selection of cakes, torts and cute, pleasant environment, friendly service, good coffee, tort was also delicious. in principle absolutely recommended! a point to go because the cakes and torts were not signed (sort, price,) they had to ask themselves that could be improved.
