Cafe Bistro Max Kuchenmanufaktur

This cute, little and clean bistro is owned and run by a very friendly owner. Everything is homemade. It is located in a quiet part of Garmisch and it has a nice view over the Brunnen in the plaza as well as the Garmisch church. You can have breakfast, lunch and coffee with cake here. His chocolate cake is divine! The different varieties of Flammkuchen are also delicious! Be sure to try out the Goulash Suppe, which is not mentioned on the menu.

The bubbly, personable owner of this cafe bistro is also the server. He speaks German and English and is a cake expert. His cakes are a feast for all the senses and they can be made to order as well! Coffee is delicious and he even has lollipops on hand for guests with children. =)

Max’s Bistro was recommended by some locals and it was awesome! We arrive a bit late, but we’re served immediately. He is a one man show so things take a it longer, but are well worth the small wait! I highly recommend the Lava Cake,...Primo!

We were referred to this coffee bar/mini bistro by a store owner in Garmisch after we asked for a nice place to get a coffee. The coffee was good but the cakes were heavenly!

Good service. Fantastic location. The Food was excellent. The waiter really kind. The view from the terrace is fantastic.
