Cafe De Paris - Reservar uma mesa

We had one of those days, car, service, shopping, later appointment for CT the list seemed endless. We knew that we had a small window to grab something to eat. We went into Cafe De Paris, lovely warm welcome by the staff. We mentioned that we were on a tight time line. They could not have been more helpful. We chose what we wanted. Our drinks arrived, and shortly afterwards our main course arrived. Yummy, succulent chicken with veg and roasted potato cakes. Most enjoyable. We grabbed a coffee, then had to fly. We came here with my son who has been staying in Chateauroux for several months at his recommendation. We were a little underwhelmed. I had a chicken tagliatelle dish the pasta was OK but the meat was a little rubbery. My son had the omelette. The staff were OK but nothing special and a little disinterested. Came across as a very basic but unsophisticated option. We wont be returning looking for something with more local flavour and a personal touch.

A quick business lunch in this modern café on the main square of Chateauroux. Parking is not too difficult if you use the Mairie parking. Greeted by a happy smiling waitress who took our order. During our meal she asked if everything was ok. I pointed out that my steak was overcooked and my plate was whisked away and replaced with a smile. Dessert looked great. A good overall experience.

A lovely warm summer evening spent enjoying a lovely meal at this restaurant in the heart of Chateauroux, we also had a delicious bottle of wine (see picture). I can thoroughly recommend the profiteroles for dessert, although they were (almost) too much to eat!!

Saturday morning marché and coffee here watching the world go by! Very busy but good service. A must for your itinerary.
