Cafe du Commerce - Reservar uma mesa

On the road in France we were looking for a hike but, well, we were hungry. We passed through the center of town and noticed a long awning shading many diners tucking into their midday meal. It was worth a try, no? It was worth a try! After finding a parking spot by the post office, we ambled down the busy street and nabbed a table for two. The busy waitress brought us water and bread almost instantly despite the many tables she was attending. I ordered the smoked salmon salad and my partner ordered the plat du jour: magret, frites, and salad. We enjoyed a piche of the house red while waiting. The hottel was a great place to stay and the restaurant was a wonderful place to eat. Get a room at the back as the main road is very busy. The woman at the reception was miserable but the lady serving dinner was delightful. Good reasonable place to say and to eat.

Highly recommend for great local menu. Highly recommend. Do check the specials board. In summer great to sit outside and watch the world go by whilst enjoying the food. In winter the dining room is cosy.
