Cafe Frechdax - Reservar uma mesa

I stopped by this place on a very hot day sat down and asked the waiter for a cold Coke. He then told me (quite bruskely) that he didn't understand me and that when in Germany, I should speak German. I told him to go forth and multiply and walked out, after he'd grabbed hold of my right hand wrist. I'd advise any non German speaking people to stay clear of it.

We've been here a few times. Great location, the place is modern, on two levels and a bit shiki-miki, as the Germans would say. Good for a small meal (as well as good), do not miss the big cake selection (coupled to a fantastic bakery) A very pleasant place. It is often crowded and the service can be a bit long.

Pretty standard breakfast, cereal, cheese, ham all fresh, but the bread was not great, Croissant also. Coffee is good. Service fast, but had to point out missing items from my order twice. The seat next to the lake is beautiful; but breakfast does not live until the seat.

The bakery is very good with fresh pastries and great coffee. The restaurant is also wonderful if you want to take a quick bite by the lake. I wouldn't leave the way to eat there. If you're in the area, even though it would make a nice lunch.

They've been on and off for 20 years, they've never been disappointed. Love their salads. The yogurt dressing is delicious. Great place for breakfast or lunch.
