Café Ha(a)ïtza - Reservar uma mesa

This restaurant should be fabulous but it just misses it as the staff are not trained to a high enough standard. Menu choice is good, decor wonderful and choice of food and drinks are great. However, when the fish arrived undercooked it was whisked away without an apology. As it was clearly heated up in a microwave the pastry was then soggy. When this was pointed out to the waiter, he said ‘well that’s not my fault’. No. But let the chef know? Sort it? Apologise? And recook fish from fresh. Where’s the chef? If you’re trying to make an impression make it all work.

The hotel it's bar are fine and beautiful. It is a shame that the Café Haitza is so disappointing. Beautiful interiors, friendly service, but the menu.... I was expecting something more appropriate to a beach club or restaurant. I was wrong. The products were more from the Landes than the Bassin d'Arcachon and I finally had a nice peace of meat that I did not feel like having (it was quite hot that day) as I could not find anything corresponding to the season or temperature.

I had the chance to meet my uncle around the Dune du Pyla (one of the highlights around Arcachon), and he took us to this nice Café. The food was gorgeous... There is a daily butcher's choice dish (I had some veal), my family enjoyed oysters and even the kids menu was tasty and classy. The service is very good and the location is nice too. I would definitely go again!

If you don’t have a chance to get a table at the Co(o)rniche, you can try this one. You won’t get the fantastic scenery but still, the food and atmosphere are great. Same owners. Cheaper.

A very large place, but quite friendly Original menu excellent quality My favorite in the area, and it was opened in February !!
