Cafe Restaurant Alexandra

We stayed in Going for 5 days (at Ellmau) and tried the restaurants around our hotel. On the first evening we went to the Alexandra restaurant and had a place on the terrace. It was cool in the evening, but still much safer than inside. The waitress was very fast and we ordered both a carving with frits and vegetables with a bottle of Chardonnay. The salad had to be taken from the salad bar in the interior. (not really safe from health) the carvings and the frits were good, well served and a large part. The wine was served with a bucket of ice cream, which was very welcome. In the end we asked the bill and I showed my bank card. .. and the tone of the lady, which was so far friendly, changed...

We were not sure what to expect when we booked to eat in this restaurant when from the outside it looked like a relatively small hotel 'dining room'. Inside there are many tables and a surprisingly extensive menu with many local and international options. The food was really good and the portions were really generous. We felt that the meal is good and would definitely eat here again during a future visit. Book one day or two in advance space is limited.

Everywhere were booked during the Christmas season, we went to lunch and found the food is amazing and the price is reasonable. You have English menu, service is efficient. The chicken soup with beef and noodle, cheeseburger and pasta are all delicious. Very recommended.

We have been at the restaurant several times already and were never disappointed. i love the Kaesespaezle . service is fast and efficient. just a great place to eat our kids love it!

In Going, Austria there are not many restaurant choices, so we are here twice. The food is solid, but nothing great. It is a good choice if you stay in or near Going.
