When I was a kid,I remember going up to the cafe and in the wintertime we kids hat a ball with our sleds racing down the hill.I grow up in Bad Nauheim and my parents and I walked up to the Johannisberg cafe on Sunday's and hat coffee,cake and ice cream.Now this was a treat maybe once a year.Sitting outside in the garden,having a cold beer or Glass of wineIn the summertime with a view of miles. The Johannisberg is a reminder that Bad Nauheim was once on the international holiday circuit and it still retains an ambience that is truly grand and accommodating. Perhaps it is largely due to its position- high on a hill over looking the city it is in a truly wonderful position. If its warm enough do sit on the terrace for magnificent views are far as the eye can see- but it was chilly on the sunday we visited so it was great to find an open fire in the main restaurant.The menu is high quality hotel standard. The food was ok (I chose schnitzel) though perhaps a bit over priced for what came out. However the view over Bad Nauheim was impressive. A bit empty on a Wednesday evening though professional, if somewhat clinical, service.

Located on the Johannesberg in Bad Nauheim. The food is good but the scenery from the top is great. You can see Bad Nauhem from the terrace. The restaurant itself is quite big with a big separate room for big partys.

We held a group function there, in a private room at the restaurant. Started with hors d'oeurves on the patio, followed by dinner inside. Great views of Bad Nauheim and Frankfurt.
