Cafe Resto Le Baleinier

Mmm. Such good food. We were in the area for days. Went here on our first night and went back nights later because it was so good. Granted there aren't tons of restaurants in the area, but the seafood was exceptional. It's not...huge, maybe or tables. We didn't have to wait either night we went. The staff don't speak a ton of English but we could certainly order very easily and communicate with our high school French. I'd highly recommend the haddock. Wow was that good. Cod was also tasty as was the seafood casserole thing can't remember the name but it had mashed potatoes on it. So tasty.

We went to this restaurant twice while camping at the National Park nearby. One day we had a LONG wait, but the food was decent. The next day, we were served within minutes. The fish and chips were good and the scallops great. The kids...liked their club sandwiches and poutines. My wife was a little disappointed with her salad. Some people get a dinner roll, others don't. Perhaps if you get the Table D'Hote?

We went there for dinner by as a group of photographers after our walk at the Forillon National park. The cod fish which was their chef's recommendation was excellent. It came with a soup. The fish was ct fresh and sauce which came with it...was creamy. My friends ordered the poutine and salad and found it very good. Service was fast and responsive. For desert we had their chocolate cake. Out of the world.

We had a great diner. The plate seize were very good and the food was tasty but way over priced. The client service was excellent but the menu is lacking in information's about the tipping policies of the country. This can be very confusing for...international travelers. I went with the smoked salmon. Always a safe bet and generally very good in the Gaspe. I was not at all disapointed. We also had the chocolate cake which was to die for, and very well represented in the photo. Very few people in...the place, but it is September.

We ended up having a very late lunch at at the Baleinier because it was the closest place to our motel in Cap des Rosiers open at that time of day. The food was average, but we returned for the nice terrace and the...fish soup (which our son loved).

Local feel more than anywhere else we've been in the area. Half way between family restaurant and fast food. We had excellent fresh pan fried cod. Good quality price doesn't feel like a tourist trap.

Quick and average food. Overpriced and not all food had same quality (good shrimps and soup, but fish was probably not what it was sold as, and was either deep frozen or fried too long Reserve uma mesa agora

We were here for a quick lunch during our visit to Forillon national park. Extensive menu for any taste, simple well prepared food, friendly quick service. Definitely would recommend

A bit pricey for diner/fast food style meals (but with seafood), but the food was quite tasty and fresh.
