Cafe Rio Mexican Grill

When Cafe Rio is good, it is great. They have the capacity for excellent food that is in my opinion superior to similar fast casual Mexican restaurants. However, as I have come to this establishment over the years, I have seen an overall decline in experience. My most recent visit, I was extremely disappointed in the amount of meat that was given for my tacos. Truthfully, it was less than half of what it had been in the past. I realize that measuring out meat by a person trying to quickly move the line could prove difficult, but this was an extremely meager portion. We wanted to try this facility for the first time tonight. We didn't want to be one of them? that comes the last 15mins when you try to clean up. We know how it is. We chose a place we can come to and eat an hour or very close to me without rushing. We arrive shortly after 9:00 when they close at 10:00. It looks closed. No customers and all the chairs are up, but maybe one or two tables, so we ask when they close. Both I and my friend call independently to ask. They say 10. I call them the first hang on me mid answer of the phone then I call back and again they say 10Pm after the call and confirm. I enjoy eating here. the dining area is always clean, the cooking area is mostly in full view and while it is chaotic and it is never dirty or grubby. the food is simply delicious and simply bought all servers have big old smiles on their faces!! the drinks are great and the portion sizes let you never want if everything you eat with the one you eat and the one you take home! recommend the place very delicious and very fresh

I just came home with an extinct queen. Ordered chicken with extra cheese and pico inside. There are about half the chicken as usual and a tiny crush of cheese on one side. Very disappointing.

Hands down better and tastier than Chipotle The new Pollenasado is incredibly fantastic and crispy with great grill marks
