Cafe Wien - Reservar uma mesa

We were recommended the Cafe Wien by a friend of ours who lives in blankenburg and said it was a ‘must see’ place to go for coffee and cake... and he was right. Small, intimate and sumptuous surroundings which take you back in time. An...amazing array of freshly baked cakes and wonderful coffee. The ladies are really friendly and helpful. We passed a wonderful hour indulging in some delightful delicacies. If you enjoy good cake.... definitely worth a visit.

The cafe is located in a very old house of the century. We sat in the street and were warned that the cafe closes at Too early for a cafe in the central street, isn't It? The tables and chairs in the street...were shaky, the visitors sitting too close to each other lack of place. The service missed a personal approach and the coffee was not too good.

What a lovely surprise this cafe is. It's not very big but during our stay was always busy. Different choices of gorgeous cakes everyday. The staff are friendly. If you don't speak much German make sure you have your phrase book with you.
