Calletana's Peruvian Fast Food

I really don’t like leaving reviews like this but it needs to be done. Food was not up to par. Bistec is usually a nice sized piece of steak but of course, it was an “appetizer” size.. 4 oz at the most. Steak also lacked flavor was extremely dry. Fries were extremely soggy dripping oil while the inside was undercooked and had a “blocky” consistency. Jalea did not have squid.. which is a staple.Food was horrible, if you’ve had true authentic Peruvian food any point in your life… you’ll know this place is NOT itNow for the Jalea.. I’ve never had Jalea that is so dark.. like cooked in extremely old oil dark. Even then, the Jalea was also dry lacked flavor as well.

I’ve eaten at many authentic Peruvian restaurants throughout my life and this is by far the worst Peruvian food I’ve ever had in my life. Waste of money. The Jalea was disgusting. It was dark brown like it was cooked in dirty oil. The bistec a la probe was dry, the fries were undercook and the egg was nasty (how do you mess up an egg).. I don’t recommend anyone to come here and wouldn’t ever order from here again. What a way to ruin my dinner. This place doesn’t even deserve one star.

I hate to do this because as you see the food is actually great but the customer service both times I’ve attended once for dine in and once for carry out have not been up to par with the food. The staff needs to realize the potential they have and up their attention to detail.

This place served me the best burrito I’ve ever had, and not to mention it was absolutely huge. All for such a reasonable price as well!! Huge recommendation

The papa rellena was not the real papa rellena, not even close You need to check the original recipe. Waste of money
