I've been here many times and referred friends. On my last visit, about 6 months ago, I took a friend and we both enjoyed a quiet dinner. What I found amazing was the dinner specials were still priced at $9.99 after at least 4 years and they still served a lot of decent food family style.Well, it couldn't last forever. The prices have been inflated by a whopping 50% across the board!The food has not changed, the service is still OK although when I asked the server for a takeaway box, she picked up all my food and walked away with it. I had to chase her to ask what she was doing and she thought I didn't want it! Just like the people at the next table, I clearly asked for a takeaway box! Shees...

This restaurant looked sort of sketchy but we were all hungry and had a limited time to eat and it seemed to be the only place in the neighbourhood. Indoors did not raise my expectations much, air conditioner was not working, there was not another patron in the restaurant. Strange by Chinese food norms the menu was mostly $14 dishes which included soup, fried rice and an egg roll. Since there were four of us we each ordered one dish with the intention of sharing. I will say the egg roll was sub par and the spring roll was quite strange but the rest was great. Huge plate of fried rice, and each dish was quite good. Leaving the restaurant I noticed that they had lots of awards for best Chinese...

Food is consistently delicious here. Lots of crisp fresh veggies. Nowhere in any of my travels have I found a Chinese restaurant that can match the Canton House black pepper chicken. We love the lo mein (pork or beef), shrimp chop suey, house fried rice & egg rolls. My only complaint is that the last few times, the beef dishes (eg beef & mushrooms) have been very light on the beef. We never dine in. Always take out. Reasonably priced. Last night we ordered everything mentioned above for 5 adults (~ $50) and packed the leftovers from 5 containers into 2 afterwards.

This is my favorite chinese place in Welland. I don't eat in and choose rather to get my meals to go as the restaurant does look a little dated in the dining room. The value of the combination plates are amazing! This is a family owned business so they do close for vacation one week in the summer but it is always posted on the board outside the restaurant and on their voicemail when you call in when they are away. A bit of advice. If you are considering eating their food here, get it to go. For some strange reason, this place has an odour that will make you lose your appetite. So, eating in is not advisable. That is not to say that the food is bad. The food at the Canton House is actually quite good. And the prices are very reasonable. Eat-In experience was not good. Take-Out experience has always been excellent!

Our normal place was not open so my wife grabbed dinner from this place for take out. We had the dinner for 2 which consisted of egg rolls, chicken fried rice and beef with mixed vegetables. The egg rolls and rice were OK but the vegetables were way over cooked and the beef slices were sub par. The prices are pretty high for what you get. We will not be going back.

We used to eat here quite often but the last few times have been absolutely horrible! Beef was like eating rubber and chicken balls had very little chicken. Food did not taste fresh at all. This place used to be fantastic and hope it is able to return to the way it used to be soon. However we will not be trying it anytime soon

Fast and friendly service for takeout. Food is standard Cantonese Chinese, but a very convenient location for the east side. Discount for cash. Most business seems to be be takeaway, with few diners on the premises. Reserve uma mesa agora

This place is a dump and I would never eat there, but take out food is awesome. They make honey garlic ribs the old way with real honey and they have the best house rice I've ever had. The prices are very good.

Was a guest at a friends and had the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Chicken Balls hard as a rock, Suey that I was nit sure what veggies were used. Rice tasted burnt...just waful
