Always looking for a new culinary adventure and we chose Cara Mia in Milburn, NJ. Before we go, I checked the menu and the reviews. The menu is usually typical Italian favorites with some inspired restaurant unique dishes. Your daily specialties were interesting. Since this was our first experience, we decided to go with Steak Carpaccio, her Cara Mia fatuccine with shrimps, crab meat, scalions in a vodka sauce and Veal Parmigiana with angel hair. The restaurant has an outdoor weather. In the interior there are two small rooms that offer about 20 seats in each room. This restaurant is a hidden gem for a delicious meal. I ordered the Pesto Gnocchi and garlic shrimp appetizer, followed by the hazelnut Gelato for dessert. They have a neighboring wine spot where you can bring your own bottle. The service was top-notch and the atmosphere was cozy. I would recommend trying the Gnocchi and Burrata. Parking can be a bit challenging, but there are options for free and paid parking in lots, on the street, or in a garage. Overall, a great dining experience for a price range of $30-50 per person.

This restaurant was a great surprise for my birthday dinner. The dishes were delicious and full of taste. The kindness of the staff made the experience unique. We felt like guests at home. Always a smiling face and all inquiries have always been treated eagerly. BYOB is fantastic as you can bring your favorite wines. Buckets are ready to keep them beautiful and chilled. Even if this was a special occasion, I will be sure to travel for the great food and the phenomenal friendly service.

I went to this restaurant for dinner and had a meal that cost between $30 to $50 per person. The food was decent, I would rate it a 3. The service, on the other hand, was good and I would give it a 4. The atmosphere of the place was also pleasant, I would rate it a 4 as well. Recommendations: I would recommend trying the tiramisu from this restaurant, it was delicious. The complimentary vegetables were cold and greasy should be warm. My husband ordered the grouper special and could not even cut it so he had to send it back and order something else. He got the veal chop but it came out rare and had to go back. Plus there were many fruit flies hanging around they need an exterminator. We thought this upscale place should have been better. We’ve been here before but we’re now disappointed and will not rush back. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

A wonderful restaurant with friendly staff and very delicious food. BYOB (there is a neighboring liquor store with a good wine selection) and a parking lot across the street. I had a delicious meal tonight at the restaurant. The 5 different dishes I tried were all fantastic, and I am excited to have some great leftovers. The service was excellent, and overall I would give it a 5 out of 5. I dined in for dinner and the price per person was between $30 and $50. I highly recommend trying the Veal Milanese, Bruschetta, and Zucchini Chips.
