We were stopping in Hudson on our way back from Montreal and were planning on going to another restaurant for dinner, but it was closed. We quickly looked up on trip advisor for another recommendation in town and Carambola was #1, so we tried our luck. We were seated at the "chef's table"/"bar" and I think it was the best seat in the house! We were able to see all of the different items being prepared and quite honestly, it helped to sway what I chose to order. The service was friendly and the kitchen entertained all of our questions about what they were preparing and they were delightful. Carambola is a hidden gem in Hudson and I will definitely go back again!

Been coming here for many years now and it was (past tense) one of the best hidden gems around, now its no longer a gem or hidden! Very hard to get reservations, very loud atmosphere (good luck having a conversation) , and very skimmpy portions..Lobster poutine is child size (barely) with no lobster! Are Potatoes worth that much? Grilled Octopus comes with tiny cheap cocktail olives with grape tomatoes and 1 small finger like Octopus (are you kidding me?), Tuna Poke is 1/4 size it used to be with 3 (yes 3) chips!! Sorry but to pay $100 for a meal and be frustrated and hungry afterwards is not worth it! Shame on you Scott...your place used to be amazing.

Friends had been raving about Carambola for quite some time, so finally took the plunge and dropped in for Saturday evening dinner. Definitely worth the drive and a great culinary experience. Service was impeccable and very courteous, even with a full house! Ordered 7 different dishes, from lobster pouring through chicken tacos, all with a different sensation to the taste buds and all worthy of another visit. My favs were the afore-mentioned tacos, tuna poke, grilled octopus and salmon tartare. A restaurant worthy of a strong recommendation!!

lobster poutine and foie gras were absolutely delicious. The only slight disappointment was the crabcakes, not bad but not extraordinary either, nothing original in the recipe either. We took a total of 5 dishes and we were not disappointed. a bring your nice wine with a beautiful atmosphere and a creative chef. a total bill of $100 for 5 dishes with quality ingredients I think I had for my money. only suggestion, I understand that the place is tapas style but some dishes could have a slightly more generous portion. We'll definitely go back. Reserve uma mesa agora

We lunched at Carambola on a Sunday, early in July. The place is bright and cheerful. The restaurant was halfway full; we were served by a friendly bilingual waitress who did not dawdle, nor rush us. The food was sort of a hit-and-miss: excellent calamari, very good fries, good small salad, good coffee, decent pulled-pork patty (not very tasty) and an insipid soup. The calamari, pulled-pork patty (with two fried eggs) and home fries portions were fairly large; one will not go hungry at Carambola.

This is an ok restaurant. Nothing to rave about. Took all five tapas from day's menu and a couple were good and a couple a real miss. Biggest fail of all was dessert. Funnel dessert was nothing but a big pile of fried dough. Were told there was caramel and strawberries on it. No caramel and a mere two strawberries thrown in there. Ok service and ok prices. This is a average restaurant.

excellent destination for a gourmet getaway. quality food comfort with a little refinement. The taken still remain a little high for lunch.Home and service in a very good French, an attitude too rata in this area.

Me and my wife really liked this little spot in hudson. Good tapas style restaurant for a quick bite . Would rather have a wine list to pair with the food . But otherwise good spot for us
