Unfortunately, I found the sushi to be quite disappointing. The rolls were not tightly packed, and the rice lacked the necessary stickiness, causing them to fall apart as we were eating. The rolls did not impress me at all. On a positive note, the service was friendly, but it felt more like a takeout experience, so the interaction was limited to the transaction. Overall, Carp is just okay in my opinion. It feels like a place that might attract a lot of hipsters, likely due to its small restaurant vibe, but there’s nothing exceptional about it.

My top picks are the salmon poke and chirashi don. These dishes are so delicious that I could eat them over and over again – and I frequently do! Both options pair perfectly with the miso soup and the kale/green bean gomae side. If you have room for some rolls, I highly recommend the salmon/eel roll, crunch roll, and negitoro roll. Although Carp has a modest seating capacity, the quality of their food far surpasses the restaurant itself. They tend to be quite busy during dinner time, so I suggest being prepared to order takeout.

Fresh, simple, delicious. Chef Yuki knows what he 's doing and always smiling! Not a ton of 'special ' rolls like you 'll find at other places, but in all honesty sometimes things like cream cheese have no business being in a sushi roll.

This place is a little neighbourhood gem. Delicious poke bowls, fresh sushi and yummy Japanese curry. The employees are super friendly and really fast. I'd 100% recommend the salmon poke bowl and mango roll!

I absolutely loved each of their bowls! This is one of those hidden gems that you can't overlook! I tried the Chirashi bowl, and it definitely exceeded my expectations.
