You'll have a great experience and a full belly. The special is the Cocido Maragato, a typical dish from this area a full platter of diverse meats (and don't forget that this region has some of the best meat in the world), a full platter of chickpeas and some other vegetables (also amazing and noticeably fresh), and to top it off, a rich soup which feels more like a meat broth... It's an intense meal, so it's better to be hungry. There are other options, but this is the typical meal here. The only negative situation was that they gave our booked table to someone else and had to improvise a little bit, but it was solved quite easily.

While walking the Camino de Santiago, this restaurant was recommended to us. We took a cab from Astorga and we were not disappointed. Another reviewer said the staff was not friendly, but I had the opposite experience. In fact, all the patrons were friendly as well. There was so much food and good wine, it felt like a family holiday. I'm still not certain exactly what each item on the many plates was called, but I'm sure we did not miss any part of the pig. I highly recommend this side trip. The stone village is charming.
