during the hottest week in the EU memorial, including Northern Spain, we landed in mestas de ardisana for a night (in the hotel benzua, obviously used to serve food, but not anymore, so I am told) the owners of the hotel suggested the Casa...xico, so we went. it was now at 40-42 degrees c, which is at 100° f, so it was a less than climate-controlled experience. the food was a fine accompaniment to wein and Verdinas, and a lot of sausages and morcilla, and the somewhat strange (we say only the original cooking of asturias and this corner of northern Spain: maisbase, instead of weiz or rice, and for all that, delicious. my wife spanish is not entirely on mine, so for a walk back to the hotel a...

we had “Verdines con pantruque” a local green bean variety with chorizo, black pudding and speck cooked, they were good. we also ordered “Tortos” a fried corn bread disc. They were a little oily, but delicious. also a piece of cabrales cheese. second dish “Cabrito asado”... or roasted goat. average, not good not bad, but the fryed were too many for the small goats and were bland, too soft and a bit oily. the price was not expensive, but was not cheap. also average. it was funny that on the restaurant front a skanked “Bibi” or “Pipi” seemed like a friendly dog and it even came into the restaurant once. we all laughed. for dessert we had a llane small company. the waiter I suspect was the owne...

great service and even better food we eat between 5: fabada, verdinas with lobster, turtle with chorizo and egg, and child. Two desserts and coffees. a wonderful price, a pleasant and pleasant service very sincere when it comes to recommending quantities. We'll be back!
