Secluded, quiet, unique decor, a garden you can sit in, large views out over Peebles from your breakfast table, free parking, and loads of choice at breakfast. I simply can't fault anything. Yeah the Peebles hydro is bigger but it's like grand central station and you have to queue for breakfast!! So go here instead.

This is a fantastic spot for lunch, dinner, or even just a beer and a snack in the gardens after hiking down the hill from a local trail. The views of Peebles and the surrounding landscape are breathtaking. The large historic building adds a lot of character to the experience.

This is a lovely hotel with a lot of character and excellent staff. The breakfast was outstanding. The only area for improvement would be the bar; adding a fireplace and some cask ales would likely attract more guests.
