I was very disappointed with how the waitress handled my feedback about a piece of my chicken tempura being undercooked at the restaurant. Despite enjoying the rest of the meal, I felt it was important to bring it to their attention. When I informed the waitress, she dismissed my concerns by saying "the chef said it's just veins", without offering an apology. I explained that it wasn't just veins, especially since my pregnant girlfriend was sharing the meal with me and I didn't want anyone getting sick. I was in the mood for Italian food tonight before heading back to Glasgow and came across this restaurant on Zomato. I had heard good things so decided to give it a try, and I was not disappointed. We visited on a Monday and took advantage of their buy one, get one free offer, which was a great bonus. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs for two people and lasagna for the other two. The lasagna was the best I've ever had, and the spaghetti was equally impressive. To top it off, we enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Bravo Cecchini's!

During our business trip to Ayr in Wellington Square, we were in need of a pick-me-up before heading back up the M77. We were excited to find an Italian restaurant offering takeout coffee, though they didn't have oat milk. I was able to purchase some nearby and returned for three black coffees. Unfortunately, what I received was more like coffee-flavored water, as it seemed the barista had used only one shot of coffee for three large cups and topped them off with hot water from a kettle. Hopefully, the food at this restaurant is better than the coffee.

Hubby booked for my birthday but quite disappointing. No Xmas atmosphere, crackers etc. Menu probably ok for pasta, risotto or pizza but not an authentic Italian. Told no longer do steaks due to supplier issues since COVID?? No veal or mussels. Hubby’s mash tasted like Packet smash, dismissed when mentioned. My salmon dish said it came with boiled potatoes but got equivalent of 1 potato roasted. Has COVID had an impact on spuds too? Reserve uma mesa agora

I had a fantastic dining experience with excellent service at Cecchini's in Ayr on Friday, November 10th. The food was delicious, especially the spaghetti gamberoni. The restaurant had a pleasant ambiance and the staff were very attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This restaurant has declined in quality. There are signs of cost-cutting everywhere - from dirty wine glasses to not providing butter with bread, and the food is bland. Overall, the experience was very disappointing.

Valentines dinner on recent visit to Ayr. Andrew and his team make you feel very welcome. Fab food and service. Will definitely be back on a return visit to the area.
