Not only is this a sweet/kitschy restaurant that has quite inviting appearance, but the food was worth writing home. We had the savory kase cake (cheese cake and raclette (served over potatoes). While the raclette was pretty good, the cheese cake was fabulous thinking a cheese quiche. This boasted a wonderful thin crust with an incredible fluffy cheese body that both were fantastic. The server (owner? was a very friendly and chatting guy, like to offer conversation and answer questions. We have the meaning if you talk him a bit, he could just take a seat!
We came here with two Swiss friends for lunch. We ordered two vegetable soups and one sausage and cheese salad. The soup size was small with only carrot, celery and onion. The salad was poor and our Swiss friends were embarrassed by the quality of the food. There is a sign on the wall of the dining room. I kiss better than I cook . Whilst not wanting to take him up on that offer, I imagine that is not far from the truth.
We traveled as a group of 10 for a weekend birthday party. The trip included a snowshoe hike to watch the sunset over the Swiss Alps of Rigi. Then a raclette and accommodation. Despite its rustic interior, we would have had no better time. Stefan is an excellent host and has perfectly absorbed our needs. Would recommend its chalet in beautiful surroundings.
Great place for a group, sleeps about 50, most rooms sleep 6-8 and are rustic. Shared bathroom and showers. Restaurant is super cozy and Stefan offers a fun selection of local specialties, from cheese quiche and Swiss Mac'n cheese to bbq. This place is basic but perfect with the right setting
