I always have a fantastic time when I visit Caldense, and recently went back for the chicken club sandwich. It's prepared fresh upon ordering and served on a Portuguese bun. In addition to their wide variety of specialty pantry items, they also offer a large assortment of pastries, desserts, and baked goods. I have also tried their custom cakes, which are made fresh to order and absolutely delicious.

Portuguese tarts? This is the best place to get them. Pastry? This is the best place to get them. Bread? This is the best place to get them. Lunch? They have good sandwhiches and luncheons. Coffee? They've got that too. There's parking in the back as well so parking is not a problem. If I'm around, I'm here all the time.

Whenever I'm in Whitby, I stop by to get some Pasteis de Nata (custard tarts), as they are some of the best I've found around the GTA. They have a really nice patio set up now during Covid. Buy six, no tax... They don't accept credit card, so be sure to bring cash or debit...

Amazing! My wife and I finally found a restaurant that serves the exact kind of flavors we were searching for. We sampled all the different types of tarts and cannoli that this place is known for. We definitely plan on ordering our cakes from here in the near future.
