Charkoal Portuguese Grill is conveniently located at Berkley Heights Station. This first visit for Takeout proved to be really good experience. I ordered the garlic shrimp that came with rice French fries. The rice tasted fresh and was abundant; the garlic shrimp was well seasoned and the aroma alone made me delicious. As soon as I came home with my order, I couldn't wait to dive. The food was still hot and ready for me to devote. I enjoyed the meal immensely, but could have done without the frits because as always when the frits are covered in an aluminum dish, they lose their cripples; other than, everything was great; I will definitely try other menu items again.

The sauce they use for the chicken is lace notch. Unlike the standard sauce you get in other places. Good size chicken, pommes are not muddy. The flan is also a good dessert. Will be more...

Tested 1/2 chicken in garlic sauce with rice and beans as side. Taste was great. The price was reasonable.
