Château Des Salles

We have had dinner here many times, whenever we come to the area on holiday. The menu is always delightful and different; the chef very good; usually two starters, two plats and two desserts to choose from. Reasonable price for an elegant dinner in a Chateau. The Chateau is 15th century but much of it restored by the owners, Sylvia and Jean-Jacques. It has been in the family since the 1990s. They are a lovely couple, very helpful and friendly. Saint Fort is a small village halfway between La Rochelle and Bordeaux, surrounded by vineyards and not far from a small port. Highly recommended. Service: 5 Location: 5

The hotel is located in a castle. It is a beautiful, authentic castle. The owners have preserved the character of the castle but also provided the necessary comfort. The hostess and host are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel 100% welcome. A swimming pool has also recently been installed, great for cooling off. In the evening there is the possibility to dine on site, which was nice.

If you want to spend quality time, this is the ideal place. A hostess full of delicacy in a friendly, tasteful setting like the table or the simplicity of the original dishes are most appreciable. In addition, the environment with its trees, certainly more than a hundred years old, and its bamboo forest only enhance this place.

Just perfect! A stay that was decided at the last minute and we were very well received. The castle is magnificent! The owner is very caring, and her dishes are very refined! I recommend without hesitation! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
