Chef's In Downtown Cafe

I absolutely love this restaurant! They serve classic Southern food, including delicious fried pork chops, tasty rolls, and jalapeno cornbread. The service is buffet-style, so you pay upfront, grab some gloves and a plate, and help yourself. After that, you can find a seat, and your waitress will bring you your drink. There's a lovely older lady who has been waitressing there for years; she always wears a denim skirt and keeps her hair in a bun. She's incredibly efficient, very pleasant, and a fantastic server. Just a heads up, parking can be tricky during lunchtime—the lot across the street often gets crowded—but trust me, the meal is worth any inconvenience!

I have visited this restaurant several times over the past few years, primarily on Sundays. If I could, I would give it 4 and a half stars. The food is what I would call comfort food, and the quality is consistently high. The staff is very polite, making it feel like you’re dining at home or at a friend’s house on a Sunday afternoon. I also enjoyed some dessert, but my wife had already started on the peanut butter pie and reduced-sugar coconut cream pie, so I didn’t take any pictures of those. They were both delicious, though!

I had lunch at this buffet, and it was excellent. They seem to have a rotating menu each day, and on my visit, the options included pork chops, chicken fried steak, rotisserie chicken, and a few other dishes. Everything I tried, including the sides, was delicious, reminiscent of classic Southern cooking. The strawberry shortcake for dessert was also fantastic. It was quite crowded and the temperature in the area was warm, but I think that just proves how good the food is. I would definitely recommend it!

Very good food at a reasonable price. Clean and cozy. Been here 3 times. 2 times the food was not hot. But it was still good. $11 for all you can eat includes drink and dessert! Would recommend Chefs In. Will go again myself! Reserve uma mesa agora

The prices are significantly higher than what the food quality deserves. I paid over $16 just for a mediocre buffet and a drink. However, the other members of my party enjoyed their experience.

When you order delivery or pick-up, you get a huge plate of food with choices of your entree, two sides, a dessert and a drink. Very good food and well worth the money spent.

Very good food, reasonable prices. Buffett varies by day of week, so check the menu for that day. Fried pork chops were awesome. Opens at 11 and gets crowded quickly.
