We blew into town as we made our way home from a long road trip, hoping to eat at a different restaurant, but when that one fell through we took a chance on the Cherokee Cafe. The staff were so warm and hospitable, and the place was clean and recently renovated. It was Friday night, all you can eat catfish night and good graciouswas it delicious. The fish was seasoned perfectly, and all of the sides were homemade, from fried okra, to the potato salad! To top it all off, they offered us wonderful homemade peach cobbler and blackberry cobbler for dessert. Can't say enough good things about this gem of a restaurant. We took a gamble by stopping here blindly, and are so so glad we did.
