Chesapeake's Seafood House

We were in town to see Paul McCartney play for the first time, in Knoxville, Tennessee (what a show!???????? . We 'd heard that Chesapeake Seafood was a great place to eat. Only problem was they were all booked up until 7 PM... however we might be ableto get a seat at the bar. They opened at 4:30. As we had to be out by 5:30 or so we headed on down and got there about 4:15.They weren 't ready for us, but they did understand our predicament and let us sit a little early until they were ready at 4:30.Let me tell you by 4:40 the bar seats were full and Dave and Jim served us well. What a jewel we found! First of all, the nautical decor is so welcoming and cozy. So many special touches in the decor such as the glass holders made out of a lobster trap. On to the food I had the stuffed sole. The sole was so fresh and light and cooked to perfection. My friend had the crab cakes. She said they were the best she has ever had. She has done a lot of traveling and has had crab cakes all over the U.S.A. and these were by far the best. She was also pleasantly surprised when she tried the cornbread muffins. The restaurant is simply beautiful, boasting a fantastic atmosphere and a distinct ambiance. As soon as you enter, it feels like stepping into a high-end hotel, complete with revolving doors, a cozy lounge area, and a welcoming counter where you can meet the staff rather than a traditional podium. The food was outstanding. My husband ordered the Shrimp and Grits, and he declared them to be perfect. I had the Alaskan Salmon, and it was absolutely the best I've ever had. They also offer an excellent selection of wines displayed in a lovely wine storage room, and their raw bar is delightful. I give it a solid five stars!

I celebrated my birthday dinner at this restaurant, and it was incredible. The service was outstanding! Our server—whose name I can't recall—had black hair and wore glasses; she was fantastic, as was the rest of the staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent too. We enjoyed broiled seafood platters, crab bisque, crab-stuffed mushrooms, and a pumpkin martini, all prepared to perfection. I highly recommend this place. While the prices are on the higher side compared to some restaurants, it’s definitely worth it—you really get what you pay for. Reserve uma mesa agora

I sat at the bar and had an amazing time. Chesapeake is definitely the place to be in Knoxville. Dave, the bartender, was incredibly attentive and personable—one of the best I've encountered in a long time. His recommendations were excellent, and I never saw the bottom of my drink! To top it off, we went to a bar that Dave suggested, and everyone there welcomed us and knew who sent us. I can only say good things about Chesapeake. I've been coming to Knoxville for business for 10 years, and I've never had such a great experience. I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, the gumbo didn't impress; it tasted like it came from a can and lacked depth of flavor, so I would recommend skipping it. For our main courses, we both ordered the seafood salad, which was excellent. The avocado ranch dressing complemented it well, and the seafood was fresh. I wasn't a fan of how the scallops were prepared, but that's more about my personal preference, as I'm not particularly fond of scallops. Overall, it’s a nicely priced seafood restaurant with great service and food that shows potential.

I Visited the new West Knoxville location on Valentine’s Day. The atmosphere was awesome the wait staff was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. I had the broiled seafood platter, and it was awesome . The only complaint I have, would be with the bar service. Every time we ordered another adult beverage it would take 5+ minutes to receive it. Definitely the best seafood restaurant anywhere close to Knoxville

Amazing food, excellent service, very high quality all around. Plenty of parking, easy to find. We had brunch and I can?t wait to try more on the menu the next time we visit!

The Fresh Florida Red Snapper was amazing, rivaling anything I've enjoyed along the coast while enjoying a view of the water. It was genuinely a fantastic meal.
