Chez Antoine - Reservar uma mesa

We had dinner here. The food was okay. The ambience inside the restaurant is super sketchy on one side, okay on the other. The outdoor seating hosts dedicated chain smokers, so that was out. Our waiter never came back after serving us. Our kids are picky and they actually ate their meals, so we tried to go back another night. We were greeted by incredible rudeness and decided to leave. Beyond rude. I’d give it no stars, but the food was okay that first night. They need to clean up the ceiling of their restaurant, work on their ambience, install more comfortable seating (where you can get your legs under the table), and tone down their incredibly obnoxious attitudes. Horrible.

Ok ok. I know it doesn’t showcase the “regional cuisine” but after a long drive from the Loire Valley this place was right across the street from our hotel and boy did it deliver! It’s hot. There is AC. My mom and I shared a giant salads and a plate of bolognaise. The food was simple and beyond delicious. The atmosphere is playful and laid back lots of really fun American oldies music. Service was great as well I spoke just enough French and our waitress spoke just enough English to get by and she checked in on us frequently enough without being overbearing.

We came for lunch as our children wanted pizza (and a break from duck! . We got really, genuinely amazing pizza in a relaxed setting. We were able to eat outside on the pleasant terrasse and enjoyed being a bit distanced from the touristic madness of the medieval town. Our only gripe, which is minor, was slow service, the hôte/waiter was on his own covering the whole restaurant and getting our deserts and l’addition took a while, did I mention the restaurant ambiance is relaxed? We went with the flow and enjoyed our meal. Recommended.

After our booking elsewhere was ignored. We found this place by chance and they catered for 6 of us without a problem. Lovely food and friendly staff. As locals we will come back

We ate here twice while staying in Sarlat, the food was excellent and the service was attentive and very friendly.
