I let a previous positive comment that was completely fair given the quality of the food I have had during my previous visits. However, this one gave me a taste of mediocer. We came there for lunch and enjoyed the 20€ menu- which is a bit above the prices in the area but I again, I was really happy of my previous visits and wanted to renew the experience. First of all, unlike all the other places I know, you can't separate the starter or the desert: you have to take everything or nothing which means if you don't like one specific choice you will have to go a la carte. Searching for a peaceful spot off the thronged and noisy main thoroughfares, I happened on this restaurant, which was an instant visual hit with me at least its outside eating area, I can't speak for the Inside. Lovely square partly enclosed by the white washed facade of the Hotel des Basses Pyrénées and another nicely dimensioned building: a number of well spaced tables with the odd tree of two adding charm. I had the € 20 menu with salade de gésiers, steak hampe and chips and goat's cheese to finish: wine was € 8 for a 46 cl pot and was rather good I took the red . Friendly waiter had the tme to talk not rushed off their feet as in some places about why the open wine wasn't local expensive...
