I wanted tofu for my meal on Sunday, so I called China Express and asked if they could make it for me. They confirmed they could. However, when I received my order, it wasn't the Chow Mein I had expected, but rather another vegan dish with tofu. I believe there was a misunderstanding due to a language barrier when I placed my order over the phone. Despite this, the dish was delicious. I believe it was their homemade style tofu, but I am not entirely sure. The portion size was generous for only $10 and the order was prepared quickly in just 5-10 minutes, with no waiting time. The quality of the food at this restaurant varies depending on who is cooking. My go-to dish is the cashew chicken, but sometimes it is excellent while other times it tastes like chewy chicken fat. When I asked for the chicken to be cooked longer, the employee on the phone responded with a noncommittal 'I'll see what I can do,' but unfortunately, the chicken still turned out bad. It seems that the outcome of the dish depends on whether an Asian woman or a Caucasian woman answers the phone.

The food at this restaurant is made fresh, although it is slightly more expensive than other lunch specials at most restaurants. The General Tso's chicken was cooked well, but not very hot, and the fried rice was average.

I love dining here. The service is always fantastic and when I asked for my General Thai chicken to be spicier, the lady happily agreed. Yes, yes, yes!
