Choo Choo Grill - Reservar uma mesa

I don't like putting in negative reviews especially with some place that's supposed to be one of the best. But I did not enjoy our lunch at all. The onion rings and olive burger were very flavorless. At first I started to panic thinking I had covid and was losing my sense of taste lol. But then my fiance who got the exact same thing told me he thought it was flavorless as well. I could taste my Coke just fine, and everything else I've eaten today has been fine, it was just their olive burger and onion rings. There are only two tables in there so if they're full then you have to sit at the counter. There are 10 stools at the counter. It was a chilly windy day and they had all the windows open...

This was such a unique little placed. We had gone to Grand Rapids to visit my son for the first time and we had time to kill before he got off of work and a man in the parking lot suggested going to the Choo Choo Grill.... so glad we did! Our food was delicious and it was fun to sit at the counter and watch them prepare the food, just like the old days back in the 1950's. Everybody was so friendly, I simply was a very nice experience

This place is a jewel. Appropriate prices and a friendly staff. The seat is very limited. My omelet was easy with lots of meat and vegetables inside. The sausage patties had a really good sage taste. The food goes from the grid to the plate. My food was hot until I finished. There were many blueberries in the blueberries pancakes. I added onions to my American fries. I would definitely go back to lunch.

Great little family business! Lived in GR for years and never stopped here. Was in town and gave it a shot on a whim and experienced a great burger and fries and fun conversation with super friendly owners. Will be back.

As a GR newcomer, I wasn't impressed given the rave reviews. The burgers are mediocre best, although they use fresh ground beef. They get a 3 for friendly service decent shakes. Perhaps that's the appeal.
