Came in because I felt Italian, but didn't know exactly what. I went in and sat right away. There was a birthday on an alkoved part of the restaurant, but beyond that it was not too busy. It has a real inviting environment. You are able to see in the kitchen that has a real brick / stone oven for pizzas. Great. My waiter covered me and the birthday party, and I don't think I was a priority. I had a nice waiting to get between water – then she told me the specials and went without asking if I was ready to order. So wait again. But then she came back and I ordered the spicy seafood pasta. Came here for lunch one Friday afternoon and it was certainly a great experience. We had two appetizers meatball/eggplant that everyone enjoyed, even my Italian friend who swears that she's the best Italian cook in Bergen County. My gnocchi was okay at best. It was very grainy and not nice and tender, chewy like I like it. Tasty, but imperfect. We got complimentary pistachio, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream ? after our meal, which was very tasty. Another reason for the lack of 5 stars was how rushed we were to order. We sat well before lunch closed but within 10 minutes we were told we needed to order immediately. I've been going to Circolo since they opened up. We love the food, the atmosphere and the owner George and his entire staff. You feel like home. One of my favorites is the short ribs. You're delicious! Because the pizza is also delicious! I recommend that if you leave, you will not be disappointed. Oh yes, try on Sunday Nonna's Pasta dinner, it just happened months ago my proposal and they decided to do it. Every Sunday in my house Pasta was raised on Sunday.

Excellent local cuisine with large pizza and entrees. Food is very pleasant and good to add to the offers with delicious specialties. Service is excellent and attentive. George the owner always greets you with a warm smile and a friendly feeling. We were there several times and enjoyed every visit. We consider it a local jewel!

I can't tell you how much I love this place! All I had was excellent. I love her Auberginencamponata. I could literally eat it from the spoon! Your Margherita pizza is also delicious... perfectly crispy crust and just the right amount of cheese! Love the decor and ambience... it's such a warm place. RECOMMENDATIONS!
