Table in serving route. Waiter could not advise us on the translation of some dishes. All waiting staff ignored us until we waylayed one. Table candle not lit, all other tables were lit. Wine waiter did not pour our wine but every other table had this service. The food was presented well but the pulled beef starter was tasteless. The main course was hot and average but well presented. We were not offered 'tap water ' as other tables but had to pay for it. The whole staff service was as though we were not worth the effort. Bill was thrown on the table! needless to say I left no tip and walked out with staff mumbling behind us.

We usually stop here for a reliable meal in an authentic French restaurant on-route to/from Spain. We made a note last time to go for the a-la-carte as the desserts are not their main points on their menus. We chose Ravioli starter, which was superb, and cote de boeuf for two, but it was a sorry piece of chewy inferior meat, and we had ordered it medium rare. Has tainted our view of this restaurant and will research somewhere else for the future. Shame as the restaurant is lovely, and the staff so friendly, and convenient for our hotel.

My wife and I booked for dinner which was just as well, as the restaurant was full. The food was good entrees were OK, but the main courses were delicious. For dessert I chose a cheese plate which came with two pieces the same by mistake, so I got an extra piece of cheese free! : Overall, service was OK a little slow to catch the eye, and somewhat formal, rather than friendly smiley. However, it was a well run restaurant, and we enjoyed out evening,

Excellent meal, top draw. Very good service, beautifully cooked and presented perfectly with many tasty, unexpected‘extras’. We went for the lamb rack and grilled turbot, both sublime! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. In particular we’d also like to thank the staff for putting up with us Brits and our shoddy French!

We had been here before but this time we went for our 56th wedding anniversary. Like the last time the food was excellent and the staff very accommodating and friendly down to the little candle on the desert.
