Courigan's Irish Pub

Unexpected. Majority of the food at Courigan 's is typical bar food menu, albeit, what I would consider much better than average bar food. I have to say that one thing on the menu has really stood out. I am a big fan of French Onion Soup and tend to consider myself a bit of a connoisseur. My all time favorite being a product of a classically trained French chef in a pricey restaurant...then I tried Courigan 's. Their chef has taken their 'bar food ' menu and added a few hidden gems. Great bar, decent bar grub. Pete the GM is always running around and making sure everyone gets their orders and drinks on time. Not the most knowledgable barstaff but you should know if your drink is complicated or not popular anymore. High end and lots of whiskies, good place to try a bunch. Good choice of beers, unique mixed drinks such as the Dark and Stormy. Guinness gravy and fries are a must. Great place to spend St. Patty's. Food is edible, and seems to be getting better all the time. A nice quiet place most of the time, and a fun atmosphere when busy.

Not JUST an Irish bar. Yes, it's an Irish pub sports bar like any other. But, believe it or not, you can get good food here. Nothing creative or gourmet, mind you, but they seem to acquire good cuts of beef and fresh fish and the chef knows how to cook it. Plain, unadorned, and casual, but really good quality food. If that's what you're looking for, you don't need a lot of money for a truly decent hunk of meat.

The BEST burger and the BEST fish n chips!. My boyfriend and I live an hour away from here, but when ever we are in the area this is where we look forward to going for seriously the BEST burger and the BEST fish n chips! Pete is always there, remembers us, and pours a great Guinness. You have to try those to entrees! :
