Cowan's Public - Reservar mesa

We have been coming to this restaurant for the past 4 or 5 years and it has always been a wonderful place to enjoy amazing drinks and food. The bartenders recognized us and knew our preferences just by looking at us. Unfortunately, our experience today on 07/23/23 was terrible. The menu has changed and what used to be a whole pretzel is now just 5 pieces for the same price of 16 dollars. We also felt discriminated against by the bartender, who ignored us and never checked in to see how our meal was or if we wanted more drinks. He engaged with other customers, but seemed uninterested in serving us. It is disheartening to have this kind of experience. We will not be returning to this restauran...

I have had this spot on my radar for a while and finally got the chance to give it a try. When I arrived I had to find parking on the street. I walked into a cute bar and grill. I really liked the vibe. My friend and I sat at the bar and Jason was our bartender and he was nice. They had a pretty good happy hour so I got wine for the night and it was good. My friend got whiskey and the chicken lollipops. They were huge when they came out and $4 per lollipop. I didn't have any but he said they were good. I really enjoyed my time and would return.

Sister restaurant to Parkside Social (in Verona, replaced one of our favorite restaurant Ariane's Kitchen) Very good for sitting at the bar and watching the telly or a full meal in the dining room. Our meal: Shrimp Po' Boy, Fried eggplant BLT, Fried Chicken lollipops with hot honey, Pulled pork Bao buns, Deviled Eggs and blue cheese and Local Oyster: (Barnegat Bay). Drinks: Peach's Castle, Yellow jacket, Patio pounder, South Paw Dessert Blueberry bread pudding! Scrumptious

I planned a small get-together surprise party for my husband at Cowans. The Salon Room was the perfect fit for a surprise reveal located separately from the bar room. Melissa was our server. She was kind, funny, and incredibly attentive. We got in around 7 pm and stayed till the bar closed. She made us feel well taken care of the entire time. Talya, who coordinates the private events, also joined the celebration making sure we had a wonderful time! Reserve uma mesa agora

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. It's a charming place with friendly servers and festive decorations for the holiday season. However, I found the servings of the shared appetizers to be a bit too small for the price, and the mac and cheese didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of taste. I've had better mac and cheese at The Barrow House. That being said, the seasonal holiday drinks were unique and interesting.

We had a great dining experience at Cowan's. The cocktails were inventive and the appetizers were standout, without being overly pretentious. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was welcoming, and everyone in our group left satisfied with their meals. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate a finicky 2-year-old in our party. I would definitely come back!

This is a great spot! Period! Great spot for specialty cocktails! I had their Once Upon a time in Mexico and it dis not disappoint. That’s one with Mezcal as the base spirit. Then of course I had to try their old-fashioned. The food was properly executed as well. I had their prosciutto crostini and the oysters. Highly recommended!

What a great spot! There is a tremendous old time vibe to the decor here that's unique and charming, and the service is fantastic. This is not a dive bar, mind you upscale for those standards but if you're in the area and looking for a charming spot to grab a drink, here it is. Highly recommended, please go and enjoy! My friends and I have been coming here for late apps and drinks for the past few years, but we hosted my sister's bridal shower here like she wanted and it was everything we were hoping for! Not only was the atmosphere and food exactly what we wanted, the staff were so generous and accommodating to our every need.

Good cocktails but long gone are the craft beer options. Most cocktails stirred are made in the glass which is unfortunate. Food options are limited but done well. The ambiance is great, very relaxing. A great after dinner spot.
