We dined here two nights running on our recent holiday in August 2023, having first tried La Malouinière completely at random from the many restaurants in this part of town last year. On both occasions, we were extremely satisfied. The staff could not have been lovelier they laughed and joked with us in both English and French and we were made to feel so incredibly welcome. C’était delicious!!!! I cannot believe, I mean SERIOUSLY cannot believe it is only rated #216 out of 300+ restaurants here in St. Malo. We are real foodies and our meal was exceptionally good here. We just fell across it in the old part where there’s tonnes of touristy restaurants. What a surprise. The 3 kids had the steak hache and chips menu. My husband and I did not go with the regular menu. We went with their daily specials. I got cod in a parsley sauce. I never order cod as it’s a bit bland for me, but my god, this was the best dish I’ve had in France on this 11 day trip. Excellent! We have eaten at La Malouiniere more than once and, every time, we have been so pleased. The food is lovely, the service really good and the children's menu ideal. During our last visit, in August 2023, we had a great waiter who provided an outstanding service. Would highly recommend! A place that must be stopped at.

we ordered two desserts and two coffees for two people, not difficult to remember but the forgot one of the coffees and when we reminded them there wasn't even an apology

We ordered steak and moules for a late dinner. Both hit the spot. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the prices very reasonable.
