Crete Greek Taverna

We spent a few days in Southport recently. We came across this little gem. On entering there is a small courtyard which I guess is used in Summer, inside the tables were nicely spaced, hand gel on tables. The decor was truly Greek, (Greek owner/chef)with blue walls and plenty of Greek memorabilia around. It really felt like you were in a Greek restaurent on holiday. The staff were friendly, especially the lady from Romania whose name I have forgotten. Menu was very good. They even do an early evening menu which is a set price. Fresh Homemade Greek food done properly . Such a hidden gem , food was what we excepted if not more . Amazing friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend can’t wait to go back, the staff make this place gives you a real taste of Greece thank you

This place has never disappointed in the almost 20 years I've been coming here. Friendly staff, great food. 18 of us recently enjoyed a family celebration at the restaurant and we had a fantastic evening. Highly recommend
