I found Crossroads Delicatessen looking for a beef on Weck Sandwich after returning from Buffalo, NY on a road trip where the most unforgettable sandwich I had after visiting 13 states was the beef on wake that I had in Buffalo. Crossroads was the top place I found online, so I came here on my birthday hoping to have a sandwich up to what I had in Buffalo and did that! Definitely recommend, I had lunch with vegetarian friends who had the cheese curds, Mac and cheese, Tripple Grilled Cheese and tomatoes Basil Soup. Everything was great and I am happy to go back for more Beef on wake.
Great deli! Went for an early, light dinner. Shared a bowl of matzoh ball soup and the strawberry chicken salad. The salad, in particular, is enormous and very shareable. The ingredients were all very fresh and, with extra poppy seed dressing, made a wonderful “main course.” The soup was delicious, as well. To top it off, I was able to get a can of Dr. Brown’s Diet Cream Soda. Prices very reasonable and service from Linda was very friendly and attentive. As a former New Yorker, Crossroads Del is a treat.
In the city for work it is Passover. Very happy, this restaurant offers a passover menu. Everything sounded delicious, but I went with the Atlantic salmon. I'm not sure if I was hungry or if the salmon really tasted as good as I think it tasted. It was delicious. I will definitely eat here again when I'm back in town.
So good, was my first time here, tried the mulled red wine it was so warm and tasty, I had the strawberry chicken salad that was like summer in a bite; my friend had the Israeli cousin of Mediterranean chicken salad and she loved her! Recommend this Lil-Gemiß something from the beaten path.
