Croutons Soup Bar - Reservar uma mesa

With the weather getting cooler, some warm soup is just perfect for lunch. I was very excited about the soup bar, as if you go to a cafe there would normally be only 1 option of soup. There were a few options here, but can't really say it's extensive. They also charge extra for the bread! Anyway I bypassed this need by ordering the Singapore Laksa, which came with noodles. Initially thought the price at $10 was great, but then the serving size was on the small side, not much noodles, was still bit hungry after. The noodles were underdone, still hard & dry in the middle. The soup itself is watery & pale in colour. The chicken was tasteless. Not something I would get again.

On this cold winters day and not feeling the best, I was eagerly awaiting a delicious Indonesian Chicken Soup. It was quite enjoyable until the fateful moment that I discovered a creature of the insect variety floating in my soup. The poor little fella had clearly been boiled and was close to being eaten so consider this a complaint from both myself and the insect community for the barbaric way in which he was killed. So in the kindest way possible please take more care with your preparation of your food as to avoid such tragedies. I love Croutons! It's $8.8 for a regular sized soup which is pretty filling. Bread will cost you an extra $1 but it's Brasserie Bread so I don't mind paying at all. Today's soup was a little bit too close to lukewarm that I would have liked but I understand that they were super busy. Free flowing condiments are great but need to be refilled more. Thanks Samantha, your laypersons review is I'm sure appreciated, but as one of the foremost experts in the field I would like offer my congratulations to the chef, the Indonesian Chicken was like a well orchestrated symphony playing Rachmaninoff on my taste buds!

Pretty ordinary actually. Not unpleasant, but with a queue 10 deep at lunch I was excepting much better. Admittedly the line did go quickly, but in hindsight it wasn't worth getting it any faster. Went with the pea and ham soup special with a cheese toasty.
