Cucina + Co - Reservar uma mesa

We travelled from the other side of the city to Cucina and Co in New Street, Brighton. It was well worth the trip for really authentic high quality Italian food and wine. Frederico and the staff were very attentive throughout the evening, without being interfering....A fine balance which highlights their professionalism. Rather than order from the menu, we accepted their offer to accept the chef’s suggestions. We started with a small focaccio pizza base) of prosciutto, fig and strata burrata cheese. Brighton has always been short of good places to eat I suppose its denizens spend all their money on their mortgages! The décor is industrial modern meaning it is noisy, very noisy. However the staff are friendly and welcoming although clearly overworked. The...food is described as Sicilian and the choices are few. The portions are enormous so take care when ordering dear reader. The wine list is also short but has some good choices try the Papale the Pope drinks it every day!. A friendly place trying hard and worthy of support.

This authentic Italian restaurant in Brighton is well worth a visit. The pizzas are great my favourite is Ortolana and the wine list is a wonderful selection of Italian wines. There is also a wide variety of pasta and other classic dishes. The...atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff are excellent friendly and accommodating. Prices are not cheap but the quality is worth the extra cost.. On your way out buy a loaf of their home made sourdough to take home.

When you go to an Italian restaurant you want it to be true to it’s origin and serve food that is adequate. You get that at Cucina: Nona’s crusty home made bread a ‘must’ with really good olive oil, antipasto plate with good ingredients...and a good pizza. Not to forget unusual freshly made Patate Fritte (thinly sliced potato chips) for a restaurant anywhere. Nona gets a 10 for her bread. Excellent find in Brighton!

Just great for a casual Pasta and a great wood fired pizza. The staff; Federico and Peter go out of their way to ensure you are satisfied. Menu is simple and good quality. If something is not there then just ask.
