Curtis Famous Weiners

I made a night walk around Cumberland and noticed signs that this place has sold hot dogs over 100 years. That deserves my attention. The following afternoon I went back to Cumberland to walk around and eat during the day. What better place than an old hot dog shop? I ordered through the window opposite the walkway and could not be happier. I ate four with mustard, onions and their Coney Island sauce. I spoke to the owner briefly through the window, he said he was the 3rd generation of hot dogs. Keep the big work, sir, I'll be back at any time, I'm in your area around lunchtime.

The guys who work here are great. I knew it's just cash, and there's no sign I saw that only cash says. I have placed my order and waited to pay with my card. The gentleman inside said, just pay the next time he knew we were out of the state. Wow, I found a nearby ATM and got some money, but how nice it was. Instead of carrying my order, he offered me to pay the next time.

This place is historical. I loved it since childhood. It's a must to try when you're in the area. Give me three. Unfortunately, I moved away from the area 30 years ago, but occasionally I just have to have one of these hot dogs... so yes, I drove 75 miles for some hot dogs.

Thanks for a great snack. Delicious dogs with all blows. Maybe we expected a bigger dog, but these were delicious. Next time we're going through, we'll get some of them and a Cheeseburger!

Great Weiner! Bun was perfectly soft, toppings were spectacular. Will def go back. Two loaded weiners and a soda for $7. Make sure you bring cash, they don't take credit.
