If you are familiar with Daily Hive or have a friend who has shared the link, you may already know about Damso. They offer All-You-Can-Eat Pork Belly and All-You-Can-Eat Chicken Wings (available later in the evening). I visited to see what the hype was all about. The catch with the pork belly deal is that everyone at the table has to participate, or the deal is off. This is probably to prevent one person from ordering the All-You-Can-Eat option while others order individual entrees and pick off their plate. The cost is $18.00 per person. The first order of pork belly we received was very juicy, tender, and had delicious fatty pieces that added richness to the dish.

Classics with modern<br/ Korean fare listed on<br/ Damso’s small menu<br/ <br/ Overall, I enjoyed my two visits to Damso on Bute. The fried chicken was great. The meat was seasoned well, still very juicy and encased in crunchy batter. I loved the pickled daikon and beans we got.<br/ <br/ The soft tofu soup is pretty simple consisting of a spicy soup bathing soft tofu, beef, mushrooms and onions. The tofu had a perfect silken texture. It’s a hearty meal that goes well with a bowl of rice, which is provided.

I never thought I would have a reason to visit a restaurant twice (almost three times) in one month. However, that is exactly what happened with "Damso". The first time I went was actually to visit "Mr. Osmad". My friend and I were looking for an after lunch dessert and ended up here by chance, as it was close to our original destination. It was during this snack that we discovered another reason to return.

Enjoyed a private dinner party for a girlfriend 's birthday.<br/ <br/ From the menu, we had the 'matang ' (candied sweet potato fries , spicy pork bulgogi and bbq pork belly lettuce wrap. Off the menu, we had lobster! As it was a large group, this was a set menu for us. All the food got devoured! It was delicious! <br/ <br/ We also drank a lot of soju with our meal. A nice experience at Damso.

Possibly the best Korean food I've ever had. Being a chef I truly appreciate the work and thought put through every dish. Everything came out beautiful and tasting even better that I had to go to this place two days in a row and they have their consistency on lock. Definitely a must recommended place. Chef Eric you are a talented man! Much love and wish all the best to this restaurant!

I had previously had some positive dining experiences at Damso Modern Korean Cuisine on Denman (my rating 4/5).  So when the line up at Cafe Medina was estimated at two hours long, my husband and another couple decided to go for Korean.  I recommended giving Damso’s second location on Bute a try and we headed there for brunch one Saturday afternoon.

I recently tried Japanese cheesecake for the first time at a dessert place next to Damso. We ordered a freshly baked one and found it to be light and fluffy, similar to an egg tart but in cake form. My friend and I think it would pair perfectly with vanilla ice cream. Check out my video review on my youtube channel vancity food crew mr. Osmad.

Yes you read the title correctly. ALL YOU CAN EAT CHICKEN WINGS, every day starting at 9pm. $14.99 per person with a drink order. 3 flavours available, honey garlic, sweet and spicy, and suicide hot. We tried the first 2 and enjoyed it, we didn't want to risk the $1.50 penalty for not finishing a wing.

What happened to the Seafood Waffles?!!?? Used to be the best thing about Damso, so disappointed. Brind them back and you'll get 5 stars from me. Otherwise the best boneless KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) in town. The blueberry infused soju is sheer genius. Everybody should eat here.
