Das Naschwerk - Reservar uma mesa

My wife and I are Cafe lovers and visit them often. Das Nashwerk reminded us of the quality you find in cafes at train stations and airports, yet the prices are on a scale with Vienna's best. Das Naschwerk looks very nice from outside. There is a raised wooden platform with chairs and awnings. It is self-service and the only dining area staff do table busing. Inside is a far-less appealing dining area and a counter. They had about 10 different kinds of torte and another section with hand pastries like croissants and donuts. The counter person gave the impression that I was disturbing her reverie. Many of the torte were uncut and it was not clear what they were. There were more signs than cak...

Lovely cakes and pastries.... very comfortable interior decor, nice for a morning coffee and a quiet afternoon reading. They have made to order cakes for weddings, birthdays and other occasions. In my opinion, the best time to buy cakes would be Wednesday to Fridays as they cakes will definitely be fresh. I bought once on a Monday and the cakes were dry from the past week. Apart from this one bad experience, this cake shop is worthwhile patronizing.

While walking through this town stopped at this bakery. Baked goods looked great. But, when I unwrapped my original, one piece, not part of a larger cake, to eat about 30 minutes later, it was obviously very old and stale. Still had some taste, but stale pastry is not my favorite.

We happened upon this little shop while were attempting to kill some time before we had to catch our plane. The coffee and sweets are fabulous and the service is exceptional.

For sure a MUST if you stay in Freising! You get homemade traditional cakes in all variations! Always when I stay in Freising I get there! Nice Atmosphere and friendly staff!
