De La Paix - Reservar uma mesa

While traveling with a cousin from Germany we ate in this restaurant twice. The food is excellent and the Swiss wine is great. My cousin is a chef and can somehow sniff out good restaurants by reading the posted menus. But this may have been the best restaurant of the week with him. A local family of seven was having a birthday party and they generously shared three slices of the sorbet cake they were eating. It was exceptionally fine. There was a good selection on the menu so one does not have to settle for the ubiquitous fondue or raclette. We recently visited this incredible restaurant when visiting friends in Evolene, Switzerland. The manageress and owner Marie Jo came to our table several times, making jokes and most importantly making us feel at home. Her husband who is the chef also came and talked to us and made us feel appreciated and looked after. The food was outstanding and we had the raclette. It's a must in this restaurant but not available every night. Beautiful restaurant, great food and lovely people. We will be back when we return there.

The resturant is in center of this old village and offers very good cooking and service. The service people are so nice, professional and welcoming. The cook was himself interested and came to meet us. The restorant has e spectacular vew to the mountains and u can really enjoy the view and food. There is a big fireplace as well. I will come back here again.

We enjoyed dinner at the La Grange and it was delicious. We sat next to the open fire and had a long list of Valaisan delicacies to choose from. We decided to go for the entrecôte on the hot stone which was delicious! The atmosphere is what you’d expect from a restaurant in a mountain village so you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely wonderful food and service! Typical of Canton Valais. Very nice selection of wines. Can't wait to be back!
